  4. My Dearest Uncle ~ I wish I was there to come and see you everyday but instead phone calls will have to do. I love this blog and will share it with my girls and my (SIL)LOL. I remember what Mom endured and know that times/procedures have changed. You and AB will conquer this too. Please know that you are loved and prayed for daily and hourly when I think of you. I love you and pray that God’s loving hands will protect you and AB as you put your armour on for this battle. We all love you UJ & AB. All my Love…Neice

  6. Hey James and Betty;
Just thought we would let you know that our prayers are with you both. Matthew 18:19-20

  7. From your friends K & A H in OK…I so well remember when we got our second opinion; after the dr. talked to us at great length and asked if we had ?, the first thing I asked was, “So there is hope?”. What a wonderful gift God gives us, HOPE. It sounds like you’re getting great care there; we’re so glad you have your family nearby. I know you’re such a blessing to them as they are to you. We miss you, love you, are praying for you, and look forward to the day we see you again!

  8. Fabulous website, information as though we were there asking questions. Our Sunday School class has added your name to our prayer list and the class prays for your quick recovery every Sunday. JT, may God bless you and MIL and your family. Best of luck.

  9. JT and MIL- we will continue to ask the Lord to remove the swelling from the leg. As we pray, we pray for continued grace as he leads you through the many trials ahead. We are thankful for the love and closeness of your family during this time. Love WK and SK

  10. Jim and Betty, my pastor, Jack Bettis, Heavenly Heights Baptist Church, just asked about you and he prayed the following prayer. “Lord, LKcoord and I do lift up to You in prayer James and Betty. We do pray the chemo will kick in and do its work of destroying those cancerous cells in James’ body. We pray for restoration and healing. We thank you Lord that You have Your eye upon them and Your hand about them. Amen.”

  11. How great that the treatments are not making you sick, thus far, Jim. I will continue to pray that the cancerous cell are being attacked and destroyed. I am praying that the Lord will continue to keep you and BT strong through this long process. God’s blessings to all of you.

  12. Congratulations C.J. – so thankful that Jim and Betty are there to share in this special moment. God brings good out of all bad. Jim, so glad you are moving around and getting out some. We are all looking forward to yours and Betty’s trip to Del City. Everyone sends there love to you both.

  13. JT and BT, I am so thankful that the Lord is watching over you. It is with God’s guidance that you found this cancer center with doctors’ that seem to know what needs to be done and have given you the hope you needed to go forward. It is also wonderful that you have found compassionate people to work with you. I know how disappointing it is that you won’t be able to come home for a long weekend (I was looking forward to seeing you)), but God-willing, everything will work in JT’s favor and you will be home for good before Christmas.
    My prayers are with you.

  14. JT and all involed. I pray for you daily and the ones that are helping with family, housing and medical needs. So thankful that you are doing better and able to come up north. God is not finished with what he has for you to do for the Kingdom.

  15. Hey BRO, just wanted to say that you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. Will see you soon. You ae loved and know that the Lord is in control. Much love, and many hugs to you and to Betty, who is a very special woman. This is the first time I have viewed the web site and it is AWESOME!

  16. JT & MIL, Just a note to let you know we are thinking of you. We are glad to hear you have a home away from home, and it is wonderful that you will be close to the children and grandchildren. You are so blessed with a wonderful family who have definitely stepped up to help you through this! Keep your chins up, and know we’re pulling for you, we’d push if we need to.

  17. I can only imagine how anxious and excited you both are about the upcoming surgery. What wonderful news that the Dr. believes he can remove the tumor and not interfere with JT’s ability to walk! I will continue to pray that the news just keeps getting better. JT is stylin’ now (bald and beautiful or should I say handsome?). You may decide to keep the ‘look’ even after this is all over. Hang in there and know there are a lot of prayers going up to God. BT, I need your summer home address.
    Love ya, PF

  18. Yum, peaches!! Peaches are so refreshing. Did you try everything? I would have had to. Peach pie alamode–my mouth is watering. Glad you had a good time.
I am thankful that the swelling has gone down, and JT is able to walk some. I am looking forward to seeing you next week, BT. I will continue to pray for the doctors that will be doing the surgery.
    Love you all.

  19. James and Betty, We love you and miss you guys. It was so good to see you at FBC, MWC on July 1st. Hope you enjoyed the music service. James, we are thrilled that your surgery went well. We will leave the results in God’s hands. Blessings to you and Betty. Boband Mary Bauer

  20. It was WONDERFUL to see you last week! We think about you every day. We’re praying for God’s blessings on you both.
We love you two. K & AH in OK.

  21. JT and BT, A lot of people are praying for you and the doctors. Keep a positive attitude, so God can do His work—-what we all know only He can do. Remember Isaiah 41:10 & 13; also, Jeremiah 33: 3 & 6. God’s blessings.

  22. JT, don’t get discouraged!!! I know it is tough, but take one day at a time. Let God take your burdens, so you keep your body and mind focused on healing. I am continuing to pray for you. BT, I am praying for you. I pray that God gives you strength. I also pray that you are able to get some rest. I love you!!

  23. James and Betty — You have been and will continue to be in our prayers. We pray that God will wrap His loving arms around each of you and give you strength and healing. Know that many love you and care about this journey you are on. You are on our church prayer list as well. Psalm 112:6-9 says: “Such a man will not be overthrown by evil circumstances. God’s constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it. He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that God will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid, but can calmly face his foes. He gives generously to those in need. His deeds will never be forgotten. He shall have influence and honor.” (TLB) These verses were such an encouragement to my dad when he was battling cancer. They hung on a big poster we made for his room. I pray they will also encourage you today! May God continue to bless you. Jim and Marilyn Long

  24. Jim Betty and all- just wanted you to know we continue to pray for strength and guideness for you all. I know you know that God is taking care of you. Much Love
